Why we exist

Making diagnostics accessible and understandable

Healthcare often is only accessible when something is already wrong. Access to diagnostics is slow, fragmented, and dependent on in-person visits, while people want timely, clear insights into their health. Homed-IQ was founded in 2019 after a personal experience showed how complex traditional diagnostics can be. The idea: high-quality diagnostics should be easier to access, easier to understand, and easier to repeat when needed.

Our story

From a personal insight to a European platform

HomedIQ was founded by Geert Brinkers and Robert de Jonge to make access to reliable diagnostics simpler and more proactive. A personal experience led to the idea, which grew into a European home diagnostics platform serving individuals, employers and healthcare organisations.

2019

HomedIQ founded in the Netherlands

Launch of the HomedIQ concept with a focus on accessible at-home laboratory testing.

2020

First portfolio of home health tests

Introduction of blood and sexual health tests analysed in certified laboratories.

2021

Expansion to Germany, Austria and Belgium

Launch of local language shops and support in key European markets.

2023

Investment round led by Healthy.Capital

1 million euro investment to scale home diagnostics across Europe.

2024

Retail partnerships with Albert Heijn and Etos

HomedIQ tests become available in nearly 700 Albert Heijn stores and at Etos.

2025

Kruidvat and growing clinical collaborations

Inhalation allergy tests launch at Kruidvat and collaborations with clinics expand to integrate home testing in care pathways.

Accredited European Laboratories

Homediq works with six core partner laboratories in the Netherlands and Germany. These labs process Homediq tests and also serve hospitals, universities and public institutions.

Homediq adheres to strict international quality standards (ISO 15189, DAkkS, RiLiBÄK) to ensure results are as reliable as a clinic visit.

How it works

Hospital grade diagnostics, from home

1. Choose your test

Select a test based on your health question, such as allergies, sexual health, or hormones. Our product pages help guide you to the right choice.

2. Collect sample at home

Receive a discreet kit. Collect a small finger-prick blood sample or swab and return it using the prepaid envelope.

3. Lab analysis and results

Samples are analysed in an ISO-accredited lab. You receive a secure PDF report within days, ready to share with your doctor.

Your Privacy is Paramount

Health data is sensitive. We use neutral, discreet packaging and process all data according to GDPR rules. Only you have access to your results unless you choose to share them.
