We use cookies and similar techniques on our websites. This statement sets out which ones, what they do, how long they remain and how you change your choice.
This statement accompanies our privacy statement, which explains how we process personal data and what rights you have.
This statement applies to homediq.nl, homediq.de, homediq.at, homediq.be, homediq.com and account.homediq.com.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar techniques such as pixels, local storage and server-side measurement. Where we write "cookies" in this statement, we mean all of these techniques.
2. Your choice
On your first visit we ask for your consent through a cookie banner, where you choose per category: preferences, statistics and marketing.
Without your consent we place only necessary cookies. All other cookies are placed only after you have given consent. If you decline, they stay off and we share no data with analytics or advertising parties.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. Your choice applies per website and per browser. If you delete your cookies, we will ask again on your next visit.

These are needed to make the website work and to secure your order and account. They are always placed and require no consent.

Google processes the reCAPTCHA data solely on our instructions, as a processor, under the Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Google's privacy policy for its own services does not apply to this processing.
4. Preference cookies
These remember choices you make so the website fits how you use it. We place these only with your consent.

We do not use your health data, test results or the fact that you viewed a particular test to target advertising at you. Our advertising measurement concerns orders and visits, not the content of your test.
7. Cookies from embedded services
On some pages we display components from third parties, such as our reviews on Trustpilot or a Shop Pay payment button. These parties may set their own cookies as soon as that component loads. We load these components only after your consent, with the exception of the payment function, which is necessary to complete a purchase.
8. Server-side measurement
Part of our measurement does not run through your browser but through our own server, on the subdomain sst.homediq.nl and its equivalents on our other domains. Measurement data goes first to our own environment and from there to the parties listed above.
For you this changes nothing about your choice: this measurement also takes place only if you have given consent, and your choice is applied on the server. The associated cookies are, however, placed as first-party cookies, which means they remain valid for longer than cookies placed directly by a third party. This applies in particular to FPID, which is retained for up to 400 days.
9. Transfers outside the EEA
A number of the parties named above are established in the United States or process data there. This applies in particular to Google, Meta, Microsoft and LinkedIn. For these transfers we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, supplemented by technical and organisational measures.
We do not transfer health data or test results through cookies.
10. Managing cookies yourself
Alongside our cookie banner you can also manage cookies in your browser. Every browser lets you view, delete or block cookies in its settings. If you block all cookies, parts of our website will stop working, for example your basket and logging in to your account.
