General Health Tests

What is a general health test?

A general health test checks common biomarkers that provide a good indication of your overall health. General health tests can be used even if you are not experiencing symptoms, because identifying potential problems early can allow you to take action before symptoms or disease occur.

There are several different ways to check in on your health, such as having a check-up at the doctor. An alternative to this is a home self-test. Using a self-test, you can easily check important markers of health without needing to visit a doctor or blood collection clinic. This saves you time and allows you to perform the test at a time that suits you.

Test yourself with Homed-IQ

Are you curious about your health? Homed-IQ offers a diverse portfolio of general health tests that you can easily and safely take from home.

A selection from our range of general health tests:

What can I measure with a self-test?

Self-tests can measure a wide variety of health markers, providing results equal in quality to a blood test performed in a doctor’s office. One popular test is the Blood Sugar (HbA1C) Test, which measures your average blood sugar level in the past three months and can be used to check for diabetes and pre-diabetes.

Anemia Test

Do you often feel tired or fatigued? You may have anemia. Using Homed-IQ’s Anemia Blood Test, you can measure your iron, hemoglobin and ferritin levels from home.

Cholesterol Test

High cholesterol does not cause any symptoms, but can increase your risk of heart disease. Sometimes high cholesterol occurs despite a healthy diet and regular exercise. Using the Cholesterol & Lipids Test you can measure your cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglyceride levels, allowing you to stay in control of your heart health.

Liver Function Blood Test

The Liver Function Test allows you to check your liver health using key biomarkers including ALT, AST, and bilirubin. The results of this test can be brought to a GP for further evaluation if required.

An extended version of this test is the Liver and Kidney Function Test. In addition to biomarkers related to liver function, you can also check markers related to kidney function, such as albumin and creatinine

Heart Disease Blood Test

Homed-IQ’s Heart Disease Blood Test measures both cholesterol level and blood sugar (HbA1c), two important indicators of cardiovascular health. This simple test can be repeated over time to monitor your blood sugar and cholesterol levels or to check the impact of lifestyle changes.
