Homed-IQ self-tests now available at Albert Heijn: meaningful diagnostics at consumers’ fingertips
Amsterdam, January 10, 2024 – Homed-IQ, a leading platform in home medical testing, is proud to announce that their self-sampling tests are now available at the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands. This means that a selection of Homed-IQ’s home tests are now available for purchase in nearly 700 Albert Heijn stores.
This step marks an important moment in Homed-IQ’s mission to offer accessible and meaningful diagnostics in the Netherlands, readily available in local supermarkets. Homed-IQ is committed to operating in accordance with Dutch healthcare standards and strives to offer only meaningful, reliable, and science-backed tests. All diagnostics take place in a certified laboratory.
“We are very pleased to have brought diagnostics even closer to consumers by making our products now available at Albert Heijn. This means that people now have even easier access to meaningful home tests, which can not only help them gain early insights into their health, but also encourage them to live healthier and more conscious lives,” said Robert de Jonge, director of Homed-IQ.
One of the unique aspects of Homed-IQ’s tests is the use of the innovative Dried Blood Spot method for collecting blood samples. This technology is simple and easy to use. Homed-IQ will begin offering a vitamin D and diabetes blood test using Dried Blood Spot Testing at Albert Heijn, with additional tests planned for the future. The product offering also includes a STI test that detects chlamydia and gonorrhea, the two most common sexually transmitted infections in the Netherlands.
Homed-IQ believes that offering health tests in Albert Heijn stores will increase consumer awareness and proactive care approaches. Through early detection and awareness, many health problems can be prevented or managed.
